News6 – Vincent Prijadi Purwono or Vincent are young artists with special needs who are still old 14 year and sitting in the first grade of high school. Vincent is currently undergoing homeschooling and painting courses.
Vincent has been active since he was a child and is indifferent to others. Vincent received education in school from playgroup to junior high.
"While at school, his teacher saw something in him that was difficult to concentrate, communication, help yourself and understand something, so while studying Vincent needs to get a shadow teacher while studying at school,"Said the father, Rudy Purwono, Monday (16/7/2018).
Since elementary school, Vincent has shown autistic characteristics such as difficulty communicating, not empathize, difficult eye contact, like on one thing excessively and another so on. Vincent likes to play and collect trains, especially Thomas, he has various types of Thomas car characters and he memorizes the names of the Thomas car characters. other than that, Vincent liked to draw cars when he was in elementary school.
"All his books are illustrated by cars, and each lesson is always a picture of a train that is repeated in all books, paper found, teacher's desk, Wall, blackboard and if reminded Vincent was angry,"Said Rudy.
In class 5 and 6, is a difficult time for Vincent to accept increasingly difficult and complex lessons for him. Go home from school every day, always in a crying condition, angry and hopeless.
When Vincent was in eighth grade, his parents got an invitation from the school and informed him that Vincent in the tenth grade could not continue at Ciputra School, because of its limitations.
"It is like lightning striking in broad daylight,"Said Rudy.
Finally upon entering the semester 2, class 9, Vincent resigned from the Ciputra School. And he started homeschooling by calling private teachers and also calling drawing teachers. To this day Vincent can make his parents and family proud by receiving their Airport Train paintings by the Managing Director of PT Railink, Soekarno Hatta Airport Railway. It is planned that the painting will be on display at the Soetta Airport Railway station.(res)
