TRIBUNJATIM.COM, SURABAYA – Having a son with special needs is not something that should be regretted by Rudi Purwono. His second son, Vincent Prijadi Purwono, was declared medically carrying autism. Despite having limitations, Vincent proved himself to have extraordinary talent in the field of painting.
“If I say that children with special needs have advantages, it is indeed like this, we as parents only guide,” said Rudi.
Rudi Purwono encouraged his son to hone and direct the talents his son had.

Rudi said that he was surprised to see Vincent's work following a painting lesson at school.
“His painting is different from the others, there are gradations of color,” Vincent's father's story.
Seeing the work of his son made Rudi discuss with Torando Rodina as a shadow teacher (counselor) Vincent to explore his son's talents. Torandopun advised Rudi to call a painting teacher for Vincent.
When the painting teacher Vincent began to teach painting an old boy 14 that year, he was surprised to see so many incredible painting ideas. In eight months Vincent was able to produce 20 painting, 12 small paintings and 8 large painting.
“Vincent's paintings have been sold for Rp 5 million, at that time Vincent was drawing apples in plastic, and it is very realistic,” said Vincent's father.
Rudi also revealed that his son really likes trains. Several Vincent's paintings were seen on display at the event at the Shangri-La hotel Surabaya pictured train. Rudi Purwono also revealed that Vincent plans to hold a painting exhibition for his son in the near future.
When asked, Vincent said he really likes trains. He had shown a video on his laptop while drawing at Gubeng Station even when he spent time around the station.
“I drew this at Gubeng Station, drawing a car,” ujar Vincent.
Vincent also admitted to drawing his favorite dog named Moca. During breaks while painting, Vincent usually fills his time playing games.
